PTO reports staff-appreciation plans; elementary construction crews dig footings and prepare site

The PTO president said campuses held red‑carpet staff celebrations and plan a spring luncheon in April and a staff appreciation week in May. The elementary school’s recent father‑daughter dance drew “record numbers, more than 450 attendees,” the PTO president reported. The PTO also said campuses will begin accepting staff grant requests this spring with a consistent application and review process across campuses.
On construction, a school representative said crews have begun digging footers for the gym and south wing, are placing rebar, have completed and tested the east‑wing building pad, are grading the site and plan to start storm‑drain piping the following week. The representative said no unsuitable (“bad”) soil had been found so far and that officials expect to provide an update and announce an official groundbreaking at a future meeting if conditions hold.
Board members thanked PTO leaders and volunteers for their work.
