Lake Norman Charter athletics to join new conference; boosters report state championships and facility improvements

A boosters representative said the school will host a meeting on March 25 with heads of school and athletic directors to draft conference bylaws and begin scheduling for the 2025–26 school year. The boosters representative said the change could be extended into middle‑school competition if the conference accepts Lake Norman Charter’s proposal for middle‑school membership.
Boosters celebrated state-level wins: the women’s swim and dive team repeated as NCHSAA 3A champions and the men’s team won the school’s first 3A state championship. Spring sports have begun and the boosters thanked contributors for funding a new scoreboard for the new turf game field and for funds toward a scoreboard at Huntersville Athletic Park for the baseball program; installation was expected in the coming weeks.
A board member asked whether the realignment applies only to high school; the boosters representative confirmed a proposal is underway to apply the affiliation to middle school and said they expect to know acceptance status before the next support-group update.
Boosters also reported a middle‑school “battle of the books” victory and encouraged community involvement on upcoming events.
