Designs for Isaac Rodrigo Park and Mayor Paulo Pena Park were at the bidding stage with Heffner Design; staff asked and received authorization to solicit construction bids for both park projects.
The commission approved a one‑year extension of the city’s street materials purchasing agreement (RFB 2023‑24‑23) with multiple vendors — including Sonolo (primary asphalt supplier) and Frontera (secondary) — at the same pricing as the prior year. Staff reported vendors agreed to hold prices and deliver satisfactorily.
Public Works also requested a sole‑source purchase of parts, installation and labor from BDP Industries for the North Wastewater Treatment Plant belt press in the amount of $33,005.09; staff said BDP is the only supplier for the needed components. Commissioners approved the sole‑source purchase.
