He said he will miss the work “fiercely” but called the change a movement to the next chapter of his life and expressed thanks to colleagues and staff. He also said he expects to continue volunteering in the community.
Council members presented Dhillon with a clock and spoke of his leadership on street issues and other volunteer efforts. The recognition occurred during the special meeting; there was no formal council action recorded beyond the presentation and remarks. The meeting adjourned at 6:16 p.m.
