1) Minutes — October 15, 2024: The council voted to approve the minutes from the Oct. 15, 2024 council meeting. Motion to approve by Michelle Swenson; second by Trent Yarborough. The vote was recorded by voice as unanimous in favor.
2) Warranty removal — Harvest Fields Subdivision Phase 6 (1050 South 4500 West): Staff reported the final sidewalk had been installed and that staff inspection found the phase complete. The council voted to remove Phase 6 from warranty. Motion to remove warranty made (mover recorded in the meeting); the vote was recorded as unanimous in favor.
3) Ordinance amendment — R‑5 density: The council adopted Ordinance No. 02‑18‑2025A amending West Point City Code section 17.6 to increase the R‑5 zone density from 8 units per acre to 10 units per acre (to align the zoning ordinance with the recently adopted general plan designation). The planning commission had recommended approval and the council closed the public hearing before a unanimous vote to adopt the ordinance.
No rezones, variances or subdivision approvals were finalized during the meeting; the flag-lot subdivision item was discussed but staff and council did not approve an exception or a rezoning at this session.
