At the March 4 meeting the commission was notified that agenda item 7a, a request for a conditional-use permit to operate an amusement arcade at 1425 West Artesia Boulevard, Suite 23 in Gateway Plaza, was postponed because the published notice contained an incorrect address.
Staff said the correct request is for 1425 West Artesia Boulevard, Suite 23 (Gateway Plaza) and that the error — an extra digit in the published address — required the item to be renoticed. Staff told the commission: "So this item has been re noticed for the March 18 meeting." Mailers and a publication in the Gardena Valley News will be reissued for the March 18 hearing. Staff also noted a second, similar application for an amusement-arcade conditional-use permit at a different shopping center will be published at the same time.
Commissioner Khan sought confirmation of the correct address on the record; staff confirmed the address and said the materials in the staff report are accurate for the March 18 hearing. No substantive discussion or vote on the permit occurred because the item was postponed for proper noticing.
