The Millcreek City Community Renewable Energy Agency’s low-income committee reported that it is finalizing a resources web page, completing outreach contact lists, and scheduling a meeting with the HEAT program at the Utah Department of Workforce Services.
Ian Harris, Cottonwood Heights alternate board member and low-income committee participant, said committee members will meet with a HEAT representative in the next week to discuss how the federally funded HEAT program could integrate with Utah Renewable Communities and to learn whether past or pending changes to HEAT funding could affect the planned integration. Harris thanked committee members Monica O’Malley, Christopher (staff), and Emily Quinton for helping him transition into the role and said outreach contact information is being finalized so the committee can notify community organizations of timelines and resources.
No formal action was taken. The committee said it will proceed with outreach once the web page and contact list are finalized and will report back to the board.
