Officials expect Saint Park pickleball courts to stay closed until about June 1
Summary
City officials said restrooms and paving at Saint Park are not yet complete; they expect to allow public access to the new pickleball courts around June 1, though that date is an estimate and could be earlier if paving finishes sooner. Council members also noted heavy use and some graffiti at the Terraceville skate park.

During a March 5 premeeting, council members and staff discussed the status of several parks projects, including new pickleball courts at Saint Park and conditions at the Terraceville skate park.
Officials said playground work is finished and restrooms are under construction at Saint Park; the parking lot still needs paving and landscaping around the new pickleball courts. Because those finish-work items are incomplete, city staff said they expect to keep the courts closed to the public "until June 1" as a reasonable target date, though they added the courts could open earlier if paving is completed sooner.
Council members also discussed the Terraceville Park basketball court and skate park, where increased use has already led to minor damage and graffiti. Officials said they are monitoring the sites and may temporarily limit access in areas undergoing landscaping or repairs.
No formal action was taken during the discussion; staff said they will update the council as work progresses and as paving and landscaping schedules firm up.
