Taylorsville Arts Council reports sold-out shows, details 2025 season

Susan Hellman, chair of the Taylorsville Arts Council, told the Taylorsville City Council on March 5 that the council's performing-arts program has been active and that several recent events drew strong community support.
Hellman said the council's October production of Snoopy the Musical sold out — "we sold out," she said — and committee-run events since then included a symphony performance, a judged art show, a Menken revue and a Christmas concert. She credited volunteers and several community members who helped run events and auctions.
Looking ahead, Hellman outlined the Arts Council's 2025 schedule: a symphony performance in April (details TBA), a junior production of Once on This Island (tryouts in March; performances June 4–6), Taylorsville's Got Talent (outdoor variety show), the summer main-stage production Annie in July, a Barry Manilow revue in September and Tombstone Tales Sept. 18–20. The council also plans its usual involvement with Taylorsville Days.
Hellman brought violinist Stephanie Urie to perform for the council during the meeting; council members praised the performance. Hellman thanked city staff and volunteers for production support and specifically noted help with printing and promotion.
The Arts Council asked for continued city support and volunteers as it moves into a busy spring and summer schedule.
