The resolution thanked Cruzado for strengthening ties between the university and county and for supporting private, state and federal investments that benefit the local economy.
President Waded Cruzado addressed the commission and the public, thanked the county and the university community, and said the accomplishments reflected the work of many people at MSU. Cruzado said she will miss the community and looks forward to visits and supporting the university going forward.
After public comment (none), Commissioner Brown moved to pass the resolution of gratitude on behalf of the people of Gallatin County; the motion was seconded and the commission voted in favor.
The commission paused briefly for a photo opportunity following the vote.
