Weld County commissioners approve series of contracts, funding reallocations and land-use actions

The Weld County Board of Commissioners on May 7 approved a package of contracts, memoranda of understanding and land-use items, including workforce program agreements, a funding reallocation, a foster-care provider contract, environmental mitigation credit purchase for a bridge project and a partial vacation of an overlapping land-use permit associated with an oil-and-gas support facility.

- An MOU (Contract ID 9299) authorizing a co‑located career navigator from Aurora Comprehensive Community Mental Health Center Inc., doing business as Aurora Mental Health and Recovery, to be on-site one day per week in Weld County employment services was approved following a presentation by Shane Yarlrick of the Department of Human Services. - The board approved the annual reaffirmation of the memorandum of understanding that defines county and state duties for the Colorado Works (TANF) program (Contract ID 9373).

- Commissioners approved a notice of funding reallocation (Contract ID 9391) transferring $100,000 originally budgeted for the WIOA dislocated worker program to the WIOA adult program to meet higher demand in adult services, as explained by Department of Human Services staff.
