Cheshire said early returns show an improved response: "after the first week, the response rate is more than double what it was last time and 75% of the respondents are taking advantage of the post survey incentive, which is $5," and added the goal was 2,000 responses and the county is "halfway there." The board approved acceptance of the donation by voice vote.
Commissioner Jason Maxey noted he had heard from a resident who received the survey, saying the survey is reaching households in the community. The health department told the board the incentive program and third‑party contributions were presented during a prior work session.
