Weld County commissioners approve child-welfare vendor agreements, foster‑care contracts and routine business

Weld County Board of Commissioners on April 9 approved a package of vendor agreements for child‑welfare services, multiple individual foster‑care provider contracts, routine administrative items and several bids for human services work.

The actions were taken during the boardhearing after presentations from county purchasing and human services staff. The board approved three bid awards for child‑welfare services (Bid B2500040, Bid B2500042 and Bid B2500043), awarded multiple individual foster‑care provider contracts and approved a master services agreement to provide online CPR and first aid training for kinship families.

The human services purchasing presentation said 40 vendors submitted for Bid B2500040 and the department recommended agreements with 32 vendors for full or partial services; the Human Services Advisory Commission reviewed and concurred. For Bid B2500042, eight vendors submitted proposals and the county recommended agreements with four vendors. For Bid B2500043, 10 vendors submitted and the county recommended agreements with all 10. The board also received a presentation of Bid B2500036 for grounds/building construction services; staff expects to return with a recommendation on April 23, 2025.
