Weld County commissioners on March 5 approved a series of procurement awards and dozens of human-services contracts, including a $1,227,387 construction award for a new grader shed and several provisional kinship foster-care contracts.
The board voted to award Bid B250009 for construction of a new Takono grader shed to TCC Corporation for $1,227,387. "As advertised, this bid is for the construction of a new Takono Grader Shed. The low bid is from TCC Corporation that meets specifications," said Toby Taylor of the county purchasing office.
County officials also approved Bid B2500010 to install wireless irrigation controls at various county buildings, awarding the work to Davey Tree Expert Company for $95,887.78. Patrick O'Neil of the facilities department told commissioners staff would research one bidder's notation about an annual subscription fee and report back. "We can research that and come back to the board with an answer," O'Neil said.
