Belpre officials told the City Council that the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) project is under review because two stormwater pumps and a county sewer meter on Washington Boulevard were omitted from the initial scope and should be added for monitoring.
The mayor said staff determined the two pumps are in “critical places” and that the county sewer meter needs a SCADA attachment that had been left off the original list. Councilmembers were informed that the omission prompted the project review and that staff would update the project scope and return with additional information.
No formal vote or contract change was taken during the meeting; the council received the update as part of the mayor’s report. The SCADA project will proceed after inclusion of the pumps and meter in the project specifications and any necessary procurement amendments.
