The blue‑hatched easement area in the packet runs along property lines adjacent to the Old Woodlands neighborhood; Cohen said acceptance will allow the town to design and construct drainage infrastructure to reduce pooling on adjacent properties and the post office parcel.
Committee members supported the resolution and moved it forward; staff said the acquisition had been in process for some time and that the county’s conveyance in January 2024 lacked a required exhibit until town staff located the proper plot. The resolution was approved by committee.
Ending: With the easement accepted, stormwater staff will incorporate the corridor into the town’s project planning and pursue construction design and funding; the resolution authorizes the town manager to execute the easement agreement on behalf of the town.
