Ann Arbor DDA to relocate offices; June 23 move set, July meetings to be in council chambers

The Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority announced at its May 7 board meeting that its offices will move on June 23 as renovations wrap up, and that board meetings will be held in council chambers beginning in July.
Miss Thompson, executive director, told the board the new space is under renovation and staff are coordinating with Comcast and City IT to minimize downtime during the transition. “Our move date of June 23 … our June board meeting will be the last meeting the board has in the DDA space,” Miss Thompson said.
The move follows a DDA work session with the Ann Arbor City Council on April 17; Miss Thompson said the next step is a meeting with city administration the week after the board meeting. She said work sessions will continue to be held in the DDA’s Carytown space while regular board meetings will be at council chambers starting in July.
Board members were told staff will provide updates on logistics and any impacts to DDA services as the move proceeds. Miss Thompson said the organization will share further notices as they finalize timing and testing with IT partners.
