City reports 75% initial compliance under new weed-and-grass ordinance; contractor cut about 250 lawns

Mazzarelli said the contractor performed about 250 city cuts for properties that did not comply, and staff are canvassing remaining areas the initial pass missed. He acknowledged implementation "hiccups" as crews and the contractor adjusted to demand but said the property-maintenance team and contractor are working through operational issues.
The council received and filed the report; no further policy action was requested at this meeting.
