WILMINGTON, Ohio — Wilmington City Council on Thursday approved several ordinances and resolutions covering infrastructure, intergovernmental agreements and budget adjustments.
Council passed Ordinance 25-28 accepting a donation of 0.05 acres near Creekview Subdivision from Creekview Project 1 LLC for a lift station. The motion to adopt was moved by Councilman Wells and seconded by Councilman Tolliver and passed on roll call.
Council also approved Resolution 25-23 to amend an agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) concerning snow- and ice-removal within the city corporate limits. The measure was advanced after suspension of rules and carried on roll call.
The council approved supplemental appropriations (Ordinance 25-32) that included transfers from the taxi fund for facility maintenance and funds for a water plant filtration rehabilitation study. Council moved to suspend the rules and gave the ordinance second and third readings by title before passing it.
Finally, the council authorized advertising for bids for the 2025 Rombach Avenue traffic signal removal project (Resolution R25-24). Council voted to suspend rules and passed the resolution, authorizing staff to solicit bids and contract for the work.
Each item was approved by roll call after motions and seconding; the minutes record presenters and committee sponsorships but do not show extended debate on these individual items at the final votes.
Next steps: staff will proceed with the accepted donation conveyance paperwork, execute the amended ODOT agreement per law director review, schedule the water plant filtration study and advertise the Rombach Avenue project for bids.
