The Summit Planning Board unanimously appointed Nicole Cottega as planning board secretary on Feb. 24.
Chairman Steven Spur introduced the appointment, noting that longtime planning secretary Stephanie Sulios had taken a new professional opportunity outside Summit. Cottega, who serves as the city's deputy clerk, will perform secretarial duties in the interim. The board made the appointment by voice/roll-call vote; all present members voted yes.
Spur thanked Sulios for her service and welcomed Cottega to the role. The appointment was administrative and procedural; board members noted a formal resolution was adopted for the record.
Cottega will support application processing, agenda preparation and minutes for the planning board until a permanent appointment or further action by the board or administration.
