Staff described the program as a scaled version of existing models in larger jurisdictions and said they are adapting procedures to local call volumes and regional partners. The county will present a brief written overview and a short photo opportunity once program staff are in place.
Commissioners praised the grant award and suggested seeking awards and recognition from professional associations if the program proceeds, including the National Association of Counties achievement awards program.
