The action implements part of a $6.8 million ERF award the city received in 2024 and directs the city to use approximately $1.8 million of that award to lease and operate a 34-room motel the city selected as the preferred site. The council set a target placement timeline that staff said could begin July 1 and expects the encampment cleanup to follow placements.
