The Trenton City Council voted to enter executive session at 6:40 p.m. during its May 15 work session to consider confidential information related to economic development and to discuss employment and compensation matters.
Mayor (unnamed) read the reasons for the executive session as including “confidential information related to marketing plans specific business strategy, production techniques, trade secrets, or personal financial statements of an applicant for economic development assistance and to confer with legal counsel as well as discuss the employment or compensation of a public employee or official.”
Vice Mayor Woodbury moved to enter executive session and Mrs. Montgomery seconded the motion. A roll call was taken and the council entered executive session at 6:40 p.m.; the mayor said, “No other business will be conducted during the work session.”
The work session record shows the council recessed to executive session; no additional public business was conducted in the work session after that entry.
