The Friends of the Fairfield Public Library reported fundraiser results at the April 7 trustees meeting: gross receipts from the weekend mini-golf events totaled $13,513 and, after expenses, net proceeds were estimated to be just over $10,000.
The breakdown provided at the meeting listed sponsorships of $5,650; Saturday-night admissions of $4,290; Sunday admissions of $2,451; a Saturday-night raffle of $370 and a Sunday raffle of $752. Friends representatives said about 66 adults attended the Saturday evening event and roughly 500 people attended across Sunday family events; the group described the adult night as a first-time evening fundraiser that included an open bar and food stations.
Friends leaders praised volunteer and staff support and said they would hold a debrief to identify operational improvements for next year. Trustees thanked the Friends and event organizers for broad community participation and for the fundraising contribution to library programs.
