Staff said the annual authorization is routine and that two police vehicles are proposed for sale; if sold through GovDeals, members of the public may bid.
Councilmembers asked how vehicles are sold to residents; staff confirmed GovDeals allows public bidding and that the city must reauthorize the online auction contracting annually under state law. No detailed bid amounts for the equipment were read into the record, but staff described the purchases as standard upfitting for new patrol vehicles.
