Bay Village council presses for more detail on county-backed consolidated dispatch plan

Bay Village city leaders spent a major portion of their April 7 meeting discussing a county-driven proposal to consolidate emergency dispatch services with neighboring cities.

The conversation followed a presentation by North Olmsted officials about a potential consolidated dispatch center. Council members, the mayor and both department chiefs agreed the plan needs more detail before the city commits to any operational change or funding.
