Superintendent told the board Komatsu will pay for the transformer through an investment charge returned to Ripley over monthly payments: “they will pay in monthly fee for that. So they will that money will be returned to the customer,” Superintendent said.
Board members said they wanted the superintendent to confirm final specifications, including voltage and elbow arresters, before completing the order. The board approved a motion to authorize purchase as soon as the superintendent and the customer confirmed technical specifications; the motion passed on a voice vote.
