The Clearfield Community Development and Renewal Agency (CDRA) adopted its tentative fiscal year 2026 budget and set a public hearing for the final CDRA budget on May 27, 2025.
Staff reviewed anticipated tax-increment revenues by redevelopment area, noted that RDA 7 has concluded and was removed from spreadsheets per state requirements, and shared a menu of potential CDRA projects including undergrounding power lines and limited allocations for public-art installations. Staff cautioned against overcommitting increment dollars to art projects and highlighted reduced revenues compared with the prior year because of decreased parcel values and the RDA 7 closure.
A board member moved to adopt the CDRA tentative budget and schedule the May 27 final-budget hearing; the motion passed on a roll-call vote with Directors Peterson, Thompson, Sheppard and Wirth recorded as "Aye." Staff said the CDRA remains on "sure footing" but that future allocations would be considered carefully as remaining RDA projects proceed toward completion or closeout.
