The Bryan County Board of Commissioners approved a series of separate declarations of taking and resolutions to condemn property to acquire temporary easements needed for the Brisbane Road rehabilitation and sidewalk right-of-way project.
Gage presented the series of agenda items describing each temporary easement and its owners. The items covered parcels with Bryan County PINs including 054-062; 054-063; 054-050; 054-064; 054-049; 0542-057; 0542-068; 0542-073; and 0542-070, among others. For the parcels discussed the appraised value for each temporary easement was recorded in the meeting as $50 in most cases; one parcel appraisal earlier in the sequence was recorded at $50 as well.
A commissioner noted that "that is the same for the next several items on this. They're temporary easements," and the board proceeded to take motions and votes on each parcel separately. Each motion to approve the declaration of taking order and authorize the county attorney to initiate and maintain condemnation proceedings for the temporary easements carried as recorded in the meeting.
The board treated each easement separately and approved the condemnations to secure the temporary rights needed to construct and maintain the Brisbane Road rehab and sidewalk project.
