The City of Shelbyville Beer Board on May 14, 2025 deferred action for one month on an application by Jamie Pagano after staff said Pagano did not appear and paperwork remained incomplete.
Staff told the board Pagano called earlier to say she could not attend and a representative who visited City Hall said Pagano intended only to defer the application until the next meeting because she was working and could not be present. Staff also warned the board the petition risked dismissal if no representative appeared next month after multiple prior continuances.
Board members discussed aspects of the proposed operation, including a change noted in paperwork from using an enclosed area of a flea market to a food truck/trailer setup. One board member asked whether the city had received paperwork for the trailer and whether the applicant could legally sell from the trailer; staff said no additional paperwork had been submitted.
After discussion a board member moved to defer the application for one more month; the motion was seconded and carried. Board members indicated this would be the applicant’s final opportunity to appear with the required documentation. Staff was directed to notify the applicant of the deferral and the warning that the board may dismiss the petition if the applicant does not appear with the required materials at the next meeting.
