Continental Commissary Kitchen seeks city support to expand food‑business incubator and emergency response role

Representatives of the Continental Commissary Kitchen told the Mobile City Council on May 13 that their nonprofit shared‑use kitchen has helped 42 food businesses in about 15 months and is seeking additional funding and city partnership to expand training, youth programs and emergency feeding capability.
"The Continental Commissary Kitchen is a shared kitchen business incubator for food entrepreneurs," said Dr. Leida Javier Ferrell, who introduced the project on behalf of the Hispanic American Business Association of the Gulf Coast.
