Orlando Science Center urges partnerships, offers educator open house to Seminole County schools

"In a world increasingly shaped by science and technology, it's essential that we spark curiosity early and keep it burning. And that's exactly what we do every day at the science center," Duguid said. She described field-trip programs, hands-on labs, immersive films and off-site workshops that the museum says are aligned with Florida's Nature of Science standards.
Duguid told the board the science center brings programs to schools that cannot visit the museum and listed off-site offerings such as mobile planetarium sessions, family science nights and live science shows. She also invited Seminole County educators to a free educator open house on Sept. 27, 2025, to preview programs and connect with the science center team.
Her remarks were part of the public-comment segment and did not prompt board action at the meeting; Duguid's presentation served as an offer of partnership and outreach to district staff and teachers.
