The Port Authority portion of the May 13 meeting approved an extension request from tenant Victoria Marine for the warehouse closest to the water, allowing the company to activate two one‑year options in its original lease and extend through 2027.
Staff presentation and board action: staff reported the original lease approved July 11, 2023 included three one‑year extension options and that the tenant asked to activate two of those options at once. Staff recommended approval, noting Victoria Marine is an active tenant that stores parts, constructs vessels and uses the waterfront site in ways staff described as consistent with port operations. The authority authorized the chair to sign the extension and the motion passed on a voice vote.
Operational note: staff told the board the extension would not impede planned improvements, including bulkhead design and construction; Victoria Marine agreed to coordinate with the county on work schedules and access during improvement projects.
