City clerk certifies Regional Fire Authority annexation vote: 62.4% approve

Passi said the official tally was 8,478 yes votes and 5,109 no votes, out of 13,604 total ballots cast. Of 31,679 registered voters, turnout was 42.94 percent. The council record shows the results were certified on May 2.
Council members briefly noted the certification and discussed that operational transitions associated with annexation — such as changes to who provides fire and EMS and timelines for vehicle and staffing transitions — will be addressed in subsequent staff briefings and implementation plans; no implementation actions were taken on May 6.
