The committee recommended approving Addendum No. 73 to the interlocal agreement that governs the Seattle Fiber Partners consortium, a cooperative of agencies that maintain fiber optic cable along the Highway 99 corridor between Edmonds and Seattle.
Staff said the addendum adds one additional partner to the consortium and corrects an earlier miswritten name. The consortium arrangement delegates certain coordination responsibilities to the City of Seattle, which performs repair and maintenance work along that corridor on behalf of the partners when outages or construction impacts occur.
City staff recommended forwarding the addendum to consent for mayoral signature; the legal department reviewed and approved the draft addendum. Committee members raised no objections.
Next steps: addendum to be placed on the council consent agenda for mayoral signature.
