County and city talks continue on debt exchange and interlocal court agreement; commissioners create TV advisory board framework

The county clerk indicated the agreement will be split for cost-sharing between county and city.
Commissioners also discussed creating a TV advisory board to oversee the county's informational and emergency (DES) broadcasting plans. The board was proposed as a 3- to 5-member advisory group with three-year terms, a permanent slot for the county's DES coordinator and IT participation (non-voting member suggested). The commission agreed the board would be advisory and that the commission retains budget authority. The TV District funding and potential future use of oil & gas revenues or DES grants to support operations were also discussed.
