Resident praises EMT training and urges Cascade County to maintain emergency services funding

Wilson said she has heard of possible cuts to county disaster and emergency services funding tied to federal budget changes and asked the county to “please keep our DES to help save their lives.” She told commissioners she will participate in the upcoming class beginning in May and urged continued county support.
Her remarks were made during the meeting’s public-comment period; the commission did not take formal action on the request during the meeting.
