Cascade County health department reports multiple DPHHS funding reductions, approves workforce and software contracts

Abigail also presented a new Montana DPHHS task order (25-07-1-107-0) to strengthen the public health workforce, which covers funding for an epidemiology specialist at $64,000 for the July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026 period. She described the funding as the same level as last year and said the department hired an epidemiology specialist previously and is using this award to support that position.
Separately, staff presented an add-on agreement (contract 25-51) to purchase HS GovTech CloudSuite application software for the City-County Health Department, effective May 13, 2025, through May 12, 2030. The setup cost was presented as $17,900 and an annual cost of $12,480. Rhonda, health department staff, explained implementation will overlap with the current vendor during data migration and training and said the department plans to prorate remaining service time from its existing contract.
