Member Nick Golden said the donation helped “brighten up” children’s daily experience during a time of building disruptions; another member highlighted the scale of the impact—“literally at a minimum 5 or 600 children you’ve impacted directly,” a remark credited to a committee member during the meeting.
The committee moved and seconded acceptance of the donation; the chair called the vote and recorded a unanimous vote to accept the contribution.
The acceptance was taken as a formal consent‑agenda action; the donation record reflects the committee’s action to receive the gift for use by the district.
