Commission appoints Denise Thompson as rodeo liaison to Broadwater County Fair Board

Broadwater County commissioners voted April 16 to appoint Denise Thompson to the Broadwater County Fair Board as the rodeo liaison to fill a vacancy.
Thompson submitted a letter of interest citing long personal and family involvement with local rodeo and 4‑H activities; the Fair Board recommended her appointment. Jessica Erickson, fair board manager, confirmed under the board’s bylaws that the appointee will complete the remainder of the outgoing member’s term (ending Dec. 31, 2025) and that new members are initially appointed for one year.
A motion to approve Thompson’s appointment was moved and seconded and passed by voice vote during the meeting. Thompson will serve as rodeo liaison and fill the remainder of the prior member’s term.
