The Northside ISD Board of Trustees formally canvassed verified results from the May election and adopted a resolution to record those results, district staff said. Trustees also approved actions the board had discussed in executive session: appointment recommendations and administrative and professional staff contracts.
Board member Trustee Harrell moved to approve the canvass of the election results; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The board scheduled seating and oath administration for newly elected and reelected trustees at the May 27 meeting, district staff said.
After a closed executive session, trustees moved and seconded motions to approve the administrative appointments and professional contracts discussed in closed session. The motions passed by voice vote; the board did not read roll-call tallies into the public record during the meeting.
These actions were procedural and followed statutory canvassing and personnel-appointment processes; supporting documents (verified results and the resolution) were included in the board packet, staff said.
