Wellington trustees on May 13 approved a resolution appointing a board liaison to the Upper Front Range Transportation Planning Council (TPR) and designated Mayor Pro Tem Brian Mason as the town’s voting representative.
Town Administrator Patty Garcia said Wellington has participated in the TPR since 1993 but had relied on staff attendance without a formal voting representative. “The town of Wellington has been a participant of the TPR since 1993,” Garcia said, and she recommended a formal liaison so Wellington would have a voting voice on regional transportation priorities.
Garcia said meetings are held quarterly and that staff will continue to attend and provide materials to support the voting liaison. Trustees expressed support for Mason’s appointment, saying the position requires time and commitment; Mayor Pro Tem Mason accepted the role and said he was prepared to attend meetings, including in‑person sessions when needed.
The board approved Resolution No. 21‑2025 appointing the liaison. No public comment was offered on the item.
