The board approved a resolution to accept the engineer’s report and declared the district’s intent to continue assessments for the maintenance-assessment district, with a public hearing scheduled for June 3.
The action is a procedural step required to continue the district-funded maintenance program; staff said the maintenance-assessment district generates about $350,000 per year for site upkeep.
Deputy superintendent Tina Van Rapport recommended approval of the resolution and public-hearing date. A motion to approve the resolution was made, seconded and passed by voice vote. The staff presentation noted the district must return for the June 3 public hearing and final board vote to continue the assessment for fiscal year 2025–26.
