Glynn County Board unanimously approves consent agenda, including facility projects and equipment purchases

At its May 13 meeting the Glynn County Board of Education approved the consent agenda unanimously, confirming multiple administrative, financial and facilities actions that had been discussed at the board's work session the previous Thursday.

Board members voted to approve the March 2025 financial statements and a package of facilities and procurement items listed on the consent agenda. The items read into the record included: personnel actions; field trips; the "good report"; approval of March 2025 financials; change orders for Neewood Bridal School and Brunswick High School; approval of phase 1 of the new Glendale replacement project; the local facilities five-year plan; Satilla Marsh Elementary media center furniture; new air-conditioning units for Brunswick High School old gym; a data center upgrade; school nutrition bid renewals; school safety radios; approval of new police vehicles; a memorandum of understanding with Coastal Plains High School; and a policy committee item (8e).

The board chair noted all consent-agenda items had been discussed at the work session on Thursday. A motion to approve the consent agenda was moved and seconded; board members raised hands and the chair declared the vote unanimous.

The meeting record does not include line-item budgets or detailed contract values for the listed projects; the agenda identifiers (for example d1–d12 as read) were included when the chair summarized the consent package. Board members did not debate the listed items during the general meeting because those items had been vetted at the work session, according to the chair.
