Council creates ad hoc committee to study parking, safety at Oxmoor and Saint Charles

Homewood City Council on May 12 agreed to create an ad hoc committee to review parking and related safety issues at the intersection of Oxmoor Road and Saint Charles, after a unanimous recommendation from the public-safety committee.
The committee vote at the public-safety meeting had been 4–0 to recommend formation of an ad hoc committee to address the parking concerns; the full council approved that recommendation 10–0 during the council meeting. No formal ordinance or resolution was adopted—council simply authorized the ad hoc committee and carried the item over for further review.
Council discussion indicated the matter will return to the council for further consideration once the ad hoc committee develops recommendations for alleviating parking problems in the area.
