Among the items adopted were Resolution No. 1 appointing municipal solicitor Thomas G. Smith; Resolution No. 2 swearing in the city’s fire department officers, including Fire Chief Michael R. Sweeney; Resolution No. 3 appointing the harbor master and deputy emergency management coordinators; and Resolution No. 8 adopting the city’s 2025 temporary budget. The council also adopted appointments to the zoning board (Resolution No. 9), municipal prosecutor (No. 11), public defender (No. 12), municipal accountant (No. 13), engineering and sewer consulting contracts (Nos. 21 and 22), bond counsel (No. 23), and a set of advisory commissions including recreation (No. 16), economic development (No. 24), arts (No. 30), Green Team (No. 31) and others.
