Sign-language user says Edison not displaying updated NJ anti-discrimination posters; council asks to investigate

Abbott cited New Jersey Administrative Code sections she identified as NJAC 13:8-1.2 through 1.5, which she said require updated posters regarding employment, housing and public accommodations; she said the township continued to display older posters. Abbott said she had previously raised the issue with the township clerk on April 1 and that posters remained outdated on her return visit.
Councilors responded that they would follow up. One councilor said they would look into the regulations and another offered to have the clerk and HR obtain the updated posters; council staff said they would attempt to secure interpreter equipment from the court if needed and follow up with the resident.
No enforcement action was taken during the meeting; staff told Abbott they would report back with findings and that HR would be asked to replace any outdated posters.
