Larimer County approves three land-use consent items, including University of Denver special review

Larimer County commissioners approved three consent items during the May 12 Land Use hearing, voting 2-0 to adopt the items subject to the conditions in the staff reports and authorizing the chair to sign findings and resolutions.

The three approved items were: an amended special review for the University of Denver (file noted in the record as "file number 24, zone 37 29") to permit a new emergency services building associated with the James Kennedy Mountain Campus; a lot-size appeal for the Hyde Living Trust (file number 25Land4461) to allow a 2.107-acre parcel in the 0 Open Zoning District where 10 acres are typically required; and an amended plat for Lot 3 of the Kendall Canyon Ranch Estates (file number 25Land4462) to create a second building envelope on Lot 3 to convert an existing temporary shelter into a permanent outbuilding for horse shelter and hay storage.

Commissioner John Kefalas moved to approve the three consent items "subject to the conditions in the staff reports, and further move to authorize the chair to sign the findings and resolutions." The motion carried 2-0, with no members of the public requesting removal of items from the consent agenda and no public testimony on these items during the hearing. The chair announced the motion passed and the meeting adjourned at 3:11 p.m.
