County introduces $600,000 state grant to replace Tijeras fire apparatus

Deputy Chief Zach Lardy of Bernalillo County Fire and Rescue told commissioners the funds would replace aging apparatus in the county fleet and improve response capability across the East Mountains. The resolution was introduced and the item advanced for final action; commissioners supported introduction and the item passed without objection for the next meeting.
Deputy Chief Lardy said the apparatus will be used to respond to calls in Tijeras and the East Mountains and urged timely approval so procurement can proceed.
