Representatives of the Jackson House Foundation briefed the commission during new business on May 13 about progress toward an easement, community engagement and a forthcoming request for proposals for architectural and engineering work.
Carol (Carolyn) Collins, chair of the Jackson House Foundation board, told commissioners the foundation has continued quarterly partnership meetings, resumed community forums (the next scheduled for June 7), and is preparing to release a public RFP. The foundation said it has submitted regular grant and progress reports and is actively seeking architectural expertise for board service and project design.
Commissioners voted to receive and file the materials and exhibits presented by the foundation at the hearing; the vote carried with no recorded opposition.
Foundation materials are to be entered into the hearing record and will be available to commission staff; the foundation requested the commission’s assistance in suggesting architects and engineers who might respond to the forthcoming RFP.
No regulatory action was required; the motion before the commission was to receive and file the foundation’s report and supporting documents.
